A Ghost Story is a film we both love. One of the reasons is the filmmaker figure out a way to reflect the protagonist's emotion on the audience's heart. That is a very bold try.
The other thing that surprises us is the way David Lowery layered the grief to different stages. And gradually build up the emotion that carries the audience to the rollercoaster of the human emotion. As an editor and director, David Lowery used editing control narrative, delivered the emotion incisively and vividly.
